Freelancing vs. Employment: Riches or Ruins for young marketers?

The other big problem I see with freelancing as a fresh graduate is that you don’t even know what you don’t know. Yes, there are many free learning resources out there but you need to first be aware of your knowledge gaps.”

The idea to approach this topic came from a discussion with Lauren Berkemeyer – an accomplished and highly experienced marketer – who I had the pleasure to interview a couple of months ago. One of the topics I discussed with Lauren was the option of working as a freelancer straight out of college or university as opposed to going down the traditional route of employment.

Some of the ideas I’ll mention in this episode are threads of that discussion (which you don’t want to miss, the interview with Lauren is packed-full of wise advice for marketers).

I’ve decided to dive deeper into this subject because I think it represents a very important decision for marketing novices and young professionals nowadays.
